This week has been ca-ca-crazy!! Not only was it my first full week at the new job, but it was also the husband's first full week at his new job, commuting to the city. Oh, and for the cherry on top, I was dealing with a horrible cold and looked like death. Today is the first day I don't have dark circles under my eyes or hacking up a lung. Progress, right?
This whole being sick thing put a serious dent in my half marathon training.
Side story: My favorite ginger and I always run the Broad Street Run (1o miles) together and this year because of a concert he just couldn't miss and my schedule, it just wasn't going to work. I really enjoy my training for this because its a good kick off to looking and feeling good for the start of summer. So I set out to find another race to do, and I decided on the Asbury Park Half marathon. Its not too far from our house, and the entire course is along the boardwalk, so pretty much the perfect setting for a run. The run is April 16th, that's only 10 weeks away. I was supposed to have a long run this weekend, like 7 or 8 miles, but I'm not sure how up for it my body is. I guess I will find out!
Oh, and this is my very first 1/2...any suggestions from fellow runners??
So Valentine's Day is Monday...this will be our first as a married couple. I'm not prepared for it at all, we really haven't talked about except for the quick conversation last night.
Husband: "Soo do you want to do a nice dinner at home on Monday?"
Me: "Sure, sounds good" Real exciting right?
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
